Cabaret Entertainer

The cabaret circuit is where I cut my teeth and learned (the hard way) what works and what doesn’t.

My Cabaret Set includes Swing, Musicals, Popera and More. Depending on the venue I’ll vary the amount of each to suit the audience.

Every weekend you’ll find me all over the northwest in various clubs and cabaret venues, usually in the northwest but often further afield.
You’ll often find me out and about midweek as well, so check my datesheet and availability page if you fancy seeing where I’m appearing.

Being a northwest cabaret singer is a funny old job because every venue is different. A joke that goes down well in one venue might fall flat on it’s arse in the venue just over the road. It’s happened.

When you book me you get this experience and a mix of songs that will have you singing along, dancing and reminiscing.

I was a compere for 4 years and I found that every week we had the same songs being sung by a different act.
Examples? (takes deep breath) mack the knife, ain’t that a kick in the head, sweet caroline, mustang Sally, penny bloody arcade…the list goes on.
That’s why I’m so different.
Seeing the same stuff each week made me realise there was so much good music being left out and that audiences might appreciate a change.
Plus they say a change is as good as a rest, eh?
So here are a few songs you’ll find me singing:
•”When You’re Drinking” Dean Martin
•”Por Ti Sere (You Raise Me Up)”
•”What Kind Of Fool Am I?” Anthony Newley
•”Time To Say Goodbye” Andrea Bocelli
•”Nessun Dorma” Turandot
•”Birth Of The Blues” Sammy Davis Jr.
•”Don’t Stop Me Now” Queen
…and many more.

Here’s a TYPICAL DANCE SPOT as I think of them:
“all night long” Lionel Richie
“never too much” Luther Vandross
“Saturday night at the movies” The Drifters
“build me up, buttercup” erm… Can’t remember
“Beatles megamix” stars on 45
“great balls of fire” Jerry Lee Lewis
“oh boy” Buddy Holly
“dance the night away” The Mavericks
“she bangs” Ricky Martin
“life is.a roller coaster” Ronan Keating
“shine” Take That
“relight my fire” Take That
